Bradford Networks Secures $8 Million In Series B Funding led by Updata Partners

Investment Accelerates Growth of Network Access Control (NAC) Solutions With Out-of-band Architecture That Leverage Existing Network Infrastructures

Bradford Networks, an award-winning provider of comprehensive network access control (NAC) solutions has secured $8 million in Series B funding led by Updata Partners with participation from Bradford’s Series A investor, Windspeed Ventures

Bradford solves the network access security challenges facing institutions, enterprises and government organizations with automated solutions that leverage existing network infrastructures.  The company's identity management, endpoint compliance and usage policy enforcement products are currently used by more than 1 million users at 400+ organizations worldwide.

"Our decision to invest in Bradford is the result of a combination of Bradford’s superior technology, its proven ability to win and grow new customers and the market demand in education, healthcare, financial services, energy, and government market sectors," said Carter Griffin, partner of Updata Partners, who has been appointed to the Bradford board of directors.

Unlike in-line solutions, which work from a particular point in the network, Bradford’s out-of-band architecture brings NAC functionality to the edge of the network, monitoring user behavior, network policies and network access in real-time. The solution can be deployed cost-effectively and efficiently by leveraging existing network hardware and software investments.

"The Updata investment fuels Bradford’s ability to expand our product and service offerings and extend our global reach," said Mike Gadoury, Bradford Networks founder and CEO. "It is a vote of confidence in Bradford’s approach and in our vision for the future of the NAC market."
